Supervised/Supported Visits

Family Ties staff are qualified and are carefully screened including Police and Children’s Services Record Checks. Family Ties staff are trained in observation and documentation.

A supervised visit is a monitored and supported interaction between a visiting adult(s) and an identified child(ren). The focus of supervised is to ensure the visits are safe and successful for all those involved.

This is achieved by promoting positive and healthy interactions by the adults and children to ensure emotional, physical and mental wellness.

Family Ties staff are there to support the visiting parties, however will always ensure that the visiting adults have opportunity to interact and parent.

The Family Ties worker will support the visiting adults if required, however the worker will always ensure that the visiting adult has opportunity to engage with their child and direct undesirable behavior if needed prior to worker intervention.
