Join Family Ties Association as a Behavioral Consultant in Lethbridge. In this vital role, you will support children and families by providing expert behavioral and developmental guidance aligned with our mission to foster independence and resilience within the community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to develop tailored behavioral support plans.
• Establish a flexible working schedule with those you serve.
• Ability to collaborate and function as an integral member in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Conduct assessments to identify behavioral needs and strengths.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to promote change.
• Provide training and resources to caregivers.
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Document interventions and outcomes accurately using electronic records.
• Advocate for clients’ needs within multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• A Degree in a related Human Services Field with a cumulative minimum of 2 years full time experience working with children living with disabilities.
• Proven experience working with children in behavioral or educational settings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Familiarity with data collection methods and electronic records systems.
• Compassionate approach to patient care and family support.
• Ability to assess behavioral needs accurately.
• Certification or training in behavioral intervention is an asset.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
• Possess a clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Record Check
• Hold a valid Class 5 drivers license (non-GDL), and have a reliable vehicle to use for work with the ability to provide 2 million insurance liability.

Position Details

• Starting wage $30.00/hr
• Casual Position - Flexible hours and scheduling
